The vision for Port of Piteå is to be the obvious choice for clients within mainly the forest industry in the counties of Norrbotten and Västerbotten, as well as the Northeast of Finland. The port attracts clients by cost efficiency, quality and environmental concern.
 
The company Piteå Hamn AB (PHAB) owns and manages all infrastructural resources including extensive areas of open and covered storage at the Haraholmen port area. A close cooperation is established with Bottenvikens Stuveri AB and its subsidiaries, who operates within the port area and supplies services such as loading and unloading vessels as well as complementary services to this line of business, such as land transport, warehousing, clearance etc. Other services to the port area are delivered by NBA, Luleå Bogserbåts AB, Banverket, Firma Båtmanstjänster etc.
The aim of PHAB is to offer attractive transport services which enhance customer competitiveness, by supplying high quality infrastructure facilities and transport services.
There has been a steady increase in volume of goods and in the last five-year-period Port of Piteå has had an average of 1,5 million tonnes of goods per year of which 86 % consists of forest products.
