PORT OF PITEÅ is a landlord port. Our responibility is to maintain infrastructure such as warehouses, quay and the rest of the port area in good condition. Our responsibility also includes marking of waterways. Together with our business partners our aim is to provide cost efficient and effective solutions to our customers´ various needs of sea transport and connecting services and storage facilities.

The port of Piteå/Haraholmen handles mainly forestry products and the most important customers are well known producers of paper products and sawn timber who sell their products on an international market. Important export goods are Kraft Liner, Wood Pulp and sawn timber which are shipped to destinations in Germany, Holland, England, South America and North Africa. The import supply of pulp wood and chips from the Baltic region and South America is also an important part of the port logistic chain.
